How to treat a ‘vulnerability hangover’

If you’ve just ‘put yourself out there’ by sharing creative work or asking for help, as I did late last week, you may find yourself (as I was) suffering from what Brene Brown calls ‘A vulnerability hangover’.

Here’s a little 10 minute video playshop on what to do about that.

The three suggestions I make (and go into in more depth) are:

  1. Get out your journal and have a loving conversation with yourself about how you are feeling
  2. Step back from feeling ‘out there’ for a while if you need to – take some time away from the internet, or anywhere you feel exposed.
  3. Take care of the basics – have fun, rest, eat well, hydrate!
